Wendy King

Come along and be inspired by Wendy King, President Australia East - ConocoPhillips, as she shares her story and advice from her long career in the energy and resources sector.

Wendy began her career as a petroleum engineer with Conoco Inc. and has held various technical and leadership positions in the Exploration and Production business in the United States, United Kingdom and
Africa.

Prior to starting with Australia Pacific LNG in July 2011, Wendy held leadership roles in ConocoPhillips Alaska serving as the vice president, External Affairs and as manager, Alaska North Slope Gas Development. In 2011, Wendy was seconded to Australia Pacific LNG as vice president, Commercial. Wendy assumed the role of president, Australia East in 2017.

Wendy received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Colorado School of Mines in the United States. She lives with her husband and two children in Brisbane.

Wendy also serves as a director of the board for the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA). She has previously served on the University of Alaska board of trustees, the Resource Development Council of Alaska board of directors and the United Way of Anchorage board.
