WIMARQ NWQ - Celebrating Indigenous Women in Mining

Culture is shaped by the way the world is viewed, and differences between mining culture and Indigenous cultures are significant. It means that Indigenous participation with the industry can be overlooked, leading to missed opportunities for narrowing the gap between aspiration and reality, good intent and outcome.

To amplify the voices of the Indigenous Women in the mining industry, WIMARQ North West Queensland would love to invite you to a networking morning tea, with a smoking ceremony being performed by the Kalkutungu people of Malkarri Culture & Connection.

Date: Friday 29th July 2022,

Time: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Location: Outback At Isa,19 Marian St, Mount Isa QLD 4825

Cost: Free
