Anglo American presents the QRC/WIMARQ International Women's Day Breakfast

Please join us for the 2022 QRC/WIMARQ International Women's Day Breakfast presented by Anglo American

The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) and Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) International Women’s Day Breakfast 2022 is an exceptional professional development event for people working in and supporting Queensland’s resources sector.

It celebrates the outstanding contribution by women and men across our sector towards making our workforce more diverse and inclusive.

The event will be hosted by award-winning Australian journalist and television presenter Jennifer Byrne, and our keynote speaker is Liz Broderick, Australia’s longest serving Sex Discrimination Commissioner.

Elizabeth has worked throughout her career to break down structural and social barriers faced by women and men, and to promote gender equality. She is a globally acknowledged leader, social innovator and advocate for change. She founded and still convenes the ‘Champions of Change’ strategy to activate influential men to take action on gender equality. Elizabeth has also led 13 major cultural reviews into Australia’s leading national institutions including the Australian Defence Force. In 2017, Elizabeth was appointed by the United Nations in Geneva as a Special Rapporteur and Independent Expert. She is currently Chair-Rapporteur of the UN Working Group on Discrimination against Women and Girls.
