WIMARQ NWQ - Building Gender Diversity & Inclusion: A Leadership Perspective
Diversity and inclusion are more than policies, programs and headcounts, equitable employers outpace their competitors by respecting the unique needs, perspectives and potential of all their team members. As a result, diverse and inclusive workplaces earn deeper trust and more commitment from their employees.
Leadership is fundamental to this. Harvard Business School research shows that teams are 17% more likely to report that they are high performing if their leaders are seen to be inclusive. Further to that, teams are 29% more likely to report behaving collaboratively in response to inclusive leadership which demonstrates the influence leaders have in enabling inclusive behaviour and practices in the workplace.
Leadership perspectives are the focus of our next event, we invite you to join a panel discussion with likeminded leaders from our region, where we will explore:
- The vision for gender D&I in our region’s mining industry.
- What organisations need to be successful in achieving gender D&I vision; and
- What gender D&I initiatives have organisations in our region implemented or are planning to implement?
