Our Mission
Women in Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) is a membership-based organisation, free to join, run by a dedicated committee of industry volunteers from all corners of the sector; including mining, refining, value-adding, energy, manufacturing, critical minerals, professional services, and supply chain partners.
We believe that diversity strengthens our industry, and that our male colleagues play a critical role as allies in advancing gender inclusion. Through strategic advocacy, mentoring, and thought leadership, WIMARQ is at the forefront of driving cultural change, building networks, and creating opportunities for women in resources.
Our Connection with QRC
WIMARQ operates as an independent reference group to the Queensland Resources Council (QRC), providing strategic input into DEI initiatives across the sector. While we collaborate on key programs and events, we maintain our governance framework, leadership selection, and strategic direction, ensuring our unique purpose and values remain at the core of everything we do.
